ALYSE MARIE

President & CEO

Alyse Marie found her love of storytelling at the age of 11, when she saw her sister in a school production of Once on this Island. Since then, her love of film, theatre, and music have grown into her passion and career. Alyse Marie is a multi-hyphenate, currently creative producing for AMP.

Jalen Layfield found his passion for film and television at a young age, often emersed in the characters he saw on screen. He would go on to use his love of story with his in-depth experience in product management, to become a producer, transforming a script from paper to screen.

Melyssa Watson became inthralled with film and television and studied film at Columbus State University, graduating in 2018 and joined AMP in 2020. Melyssa now oversees physical production, streamlining communication between production, cast, and crew.

Alyse Marie Productions is on a mission to create authentic, diverse stories that celebrate Black voices, redefines representation on and off screen, and ultimately, holds up a mirror to who we all are. And the beauty in who we can be.

Born from the gaps we saw in Hollywood, our company was created to tell the stories that too often go unseen and unheard. Instead of waiting for permission, we chose to build our own space, and we are grateful that you are here to witness it!

Through powerful storytelling, we aim to uplift culture, amplify the underdogs, and be the collaborators we wish we had when we formed AMP.
